"Arlow - Day 1. Friday; some good swims in the 50's. Emi again won 2 golds for the back and fly, Ellie-May Bell, DaisyTurp-Daws, Finley Ames-Tull and Arthur Mooney gained valuable experience with some impressive performances. Lillia and Tahlia Haylock had a couple of p.b's. Charlotte Nicholls and Rose Vinter were slightly down on their times but still looked good in their heats.Captain Katherine Daynes knocked .04 from her breaststroke swim in winning her event and Keira Harris looked strong with a new pb in the breaststroke..Swim of the night came from Ellis Saunders who smashed his back and fly times and came away with 2 golds(to be confirmed). A credit to the work he has put in the last 12 months and his superb technique has brought him on. Well done and look forward to tomorrow.

"Arlow"- Day 2. Another impressive performance from Halstead swimmers. Thomas Bale gets better every swim and 200 and 400 free were testament to that. Sister Jasmine continues to impress and there is still a lot more to come. Franklin is learning how to put the longer distance swim together and it will be interesting to see him in 2 years time. Emily Kay had an up and down day but was exceptional in the 200 Breaststroke with a massive pb . Charlotte Nichols quietly impresses on every swim she does and yesterday was no different.Another swimmer who doubts herself is Keira Harris, but the Harlow meet should go a long way to improving her mind set with excellent pb.s. Oliver Tyrie gives his all and when his growth spurt happens we will see a considerable swimmer, patience being the key.Sister Sophie knows what she has to do and is putting it into action; her consistency will shortly see pbs a plenty.Sadie Marie suddenly showed her competitive spirit and her efforts were all a coach can ask for.Rose Vinter has become more consistent and although disappointed with her 100 free it was still her second fastest swim ever. Sisters Lillia and Tahlia swam very well with pbs and lillia in particular gaining experience over the 100m swims. Harmonie, back to competing after 4/5 months out gained wins in both back and free and also qualified for the Regionals. All in all the experience is helping Halstead improve as a club and the next 2 years should see a vast improvement. After a very hot and tiring 2 days it's a "big well done" to swimmers and also the parents for their support.
